LZ SKU Sync for Shopify¶
LZ SKU Sync connects Zoho Inventory to Shopify. Use it to create or update Shopify products and variants from Zoho items, transfer selected product fields and images, and sync warehouse quantities to mapped Shopify locations.
This guide takes you from installation to a verified sync. It covers the app inside Shopify admin. For the WordPress plugin, use the WooCommerce documentation.
For more information about the app, visit the LZ SKU Sync for Shopify product page.
How synchronization works¶
Zoho Inventory → LZ SKU Sync → Shopify
Maintain the source item information in Zoho Inventory. The app uses SKUs to find matching Shopify products and variants, then applies your sync preferences. Zoho item groups supply the product options and variants for grouped products.
Choose Manual Sync to start a run yourself, or Always Sync to receive automatic updates through Zoho workflows and webhooks after setup succeeds.
Review the first sync
A sync can create products and change existing Shopify values, including product titles, selected fields, stock, and product status. Start with a small demonstration catalog and verify the results before applying the same setup to your live inventory.
Features¶
| Feature | What you can do |
|---|---|
| SKU matching | Match Zoho items to existing Shopify products and variants. |
| Simple and grouped products | Sync individual items and item groups with variant options. |
| Product fields | Select price, cost, description, weight, and image preferences by product type. |
| Warehouse mapping | Route Zoho warehouse stock to the appropriate Shopify location. |
| Stock metric selection | Choose available for sale, available, or committed stock from Zoho. |
| Category and publishing settings | Exclude categories, configure category-based collections, and select sales channels. |
| Manual and automatic sync | Start a manual session or enable updates through Zoho workflows. |
| Progress and logs | Monitor runs, pause or resume a manual session, and inspect detailed audit events. |
Before you begin¶
- Access to a Shopify store and permission to install and use the app.
- An active Zoho Inventory account with access to the organization and warehouses you want to connect.
- Permission to authorize the Zoho connection. Always Sync also requires the Zoho workflow and webhook setup to succeed for your account.
- A valid LZ SKU Sync plan with remaining sync credits.
- A non-empty SKU for each item or variant you intend to sync. Use the same SKU in both systems when updating an existing product, and avoid duplicate SKUs on unrelated products.
- At least one Zoho warehouse and its corresponding Shopify location.
The Shopify app uses the Zoho authorization flow in Settings → Authentication. You do not need to enter a WordPress license key or copy Zoho access tokens into the app.
Follow the setup guide¶
- Install and open the app.
- Connect your Zoho organization.
- Map warehouses and save sync preferences.
- Run your first sync.
- Verify the product and inventory in Shopify.
- Review logs and resolve any errors.
Find your way around the app¶
The Home dashboard shows plan information, credit usage, and product sync totals. Settings contains these tabs:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Authentication | Connect Zoho and select the source organization. |
| Inventory Overview | Fetch warehouse summaries and compare SKU counts with Shopify. |
| Sync Preferences | Configure mappings, fields, stock metric, and sync mode. |
| Sync Status | Start and monitor manual syncs and manage automatic workflow status. |
| Sync Log | Inspect product sync history and detailed audit events. |
| Webhook Errors | Investigate problems with incoming automatic updates. |
Complete Authentication to unlock the remaining settings. Save Sync Preferences before opening Sync Status.
