Troubleshooting¶
Use the error message and the affected SKU to locate a problem. Check the saved connection and preferences before starting another sync.
Find the relevant log¶
Product sync history¶
- Open LZ SKU Sync → Settings → Sync Log.
- In Global Sync History, find the product and time of the issue.
- Filter by status, product type, or source. MANUAL identifies a manual run; WEBHOOK identifies an automatic update.
- Select View in the Audit column to inspect the Sync Events Audit Trail.
- Read the event details for the failed operation, including stock or image updates.
Automatic update errors¶
Open Settings → Webhook Errors. Use the received time, reason, item SKU, and item name to identify the relevant event. Filter by reason if needed.
Raw payload details may help support investigate an issue. Remove credentials and unrelated business information before sharing a screenshot or payload.
Authentication fails or the organization is missing¶
- Confirm the selected data center matches the Zoho account's domain.
- Allow the authentication popup and complete the authorization flow.
- Confirm the signed-in Zoho account has access to the intended Inventory organization.
- Check the connected organization before fetching inventory.
If reconnection is necessary, record your mappings and preferences first. Changing organizations or disconnecting clears settings. Follow Authentication to configure the connection again.
A settings tab is unavailable¶
Complete Authentication and save the organization to unlock the remaining settings. Sync Status also requires saved Sync Preferences.
If this is the first installation and Pricing is displayed, review the plan setup in Installation.
Preferences will not save¶
- Complete both the Zoho warehouse and Shopify location in every mapping row.
- Keep at least one complete mapping.
- Select the required product status mappings and a Sync Frequency.
- If Always Sync produces a Zoho workflow or webhook error, check the error message and your account's access to those features. The new preferences are not saved when that setup fails.
No products to sync¶
Refresh Inventory Overview and check that the intended organization contains inventory. Review warehouse mappings and category exclusions. A full run needs eligible products in the mapped warehouses.
An item is missing or the wrong product matches¶
Check that the source item or variant has a non-empty SKU and that the intended Shopify variant has the same SKU. Avoid assigning the same SKU to unrelated products. Review category exclusions and the product's audit entry.
If you changed a source SKU or other data in Zoho, run a new manual sync after the current session finishes. A failed-item retry reuses previously queued data.
Stock or price did not update¶
- Check Stock Quantity and Sales Price / Regular Price in the preferences for the relevant product type. Simple-product and variant settings are separate.
- Confirm the changes were saved.
- For stock, check the warehouse mapping and selected stock metric.
- Compare Shopify on-hand at the mapped location with that metric in Zoho. Combine quantities if several warehouses map to one location.
- Inspect the audit events for inventory or price errors.
See the verification example.
Images did not appear¶
Confirm that the Zoho source item has images and that the relevant primary or gallery image preference is enabled. For grouped products, check the variant image setting. Review the audit for image download or upload errors.
A product is not visible on the storefront¶
First confirm the product exists in Shopify admin. Check its product status and the intended sales channel. Review both the status mappings and Publish to Sales Channels in Sync Preferences. A demo product kept in Draft is not ready for storefront publication.
Automatic updates do not arrive¶
- Confirm Always Sync was saved successfully.
- In Sync Status, check that the automatic workflow is active. Use Resume in the connection section if it is paused.
- Check that Zoho is connected and the plan has remaining credits and validity.
- Confirm the item is eligible under your saved mappings and exclusions.
- Inspect Webhook Errors and Sync Log for the affected SKU and time.
- Resolve the reported cause, then start a new manual sync to reconcile changes that did not reach Shopify.
Credits are exhausted or the plan has expired¶
Review the plan and remaining credits on Home, then open Pricing to see the available purchase options. Syncing requires an active plan with remaining credits. After resolving the plan issue, retry eligible failures or start a fresh run if source data has changed.
A sync is already in progress¶
Open Sync Status and inspect the existing session. Wait for it to finish, resume it if paused, or cancel the remaining work before starting another full sync. Cancellation does not reverse completed changes.
Frequently asked questions¶
Does this app sync Shopify changes back to Zoho?¶
The workflow described here sends data from Zoho Inventory to Shopify. Keep the source values for enabled fields in Zoho. A subsequent sync can replace values edited directly in Shopify.
Can I sync only one item with Start Product Sync?¶
The manual run processes eligible inventory from the mapped warehouses. There is no single-item selector in that control. Use a small demonstration catalog when testing.
Does Pause Sync stop automatic updates too?¶
Pause Sync controls the manual session. The separate Pause and Resume controls in the connection section manage the automatic workflow.
Will retrying fetch corrected data from Zoho?¶
A retry uses the failed session's queued product data. Start a new manual sync to fetch source changes made after that session began.
Can I use the WooCommerce setup instructions?¶
Use this Shopify guide for the Shopify app. The WooCommerce guide describes the WordPress plugin and its separate installation and settings.
